Graduate Spotlight: Taj Smith '25


Taj Smith turned his passion for technology into a career, graduating with a computer science degree and landing a role as a cybersecurity engineer at Adobe in San Jose. Supported by Bowie State’s nationally recognized program and hands-on internships with Apple and Adobe, he credits the university with giving him the skills and confidence to succeed and the “Bowie Bold” mindset to keep moving forward.

9/11 REMEMBRANCE

Remembering 9/11 


This year marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. Bowie State University  remembers those who lost their lives and the families whose lives were forever changed. We reflect on the courage, sacrifice and unity shown in the aftermath and strive to embody the resilience that defines our community.


Join the Bowie State community on Sept. 12 for "A Day of Remembrance and Service." Funded by a Transform Mid-Atlantic Campus Grant, Love East of the River and BSU will assemble 300 care packages to honor first responders.
