Sophomore Simone Banks Earns Arts Recognition from Maryland’s Business and Creative Community


Banks was recognized for her acrylic painting, “Wanted: Woman of Color.” She credited her experiences at Bowie State with strengthening both her artistic and public speaking skills, which helped expand her visibility and recognition.

Building Voter Power: NAACP and Pre-Law Society Lead Campus Workshop


The workshop provided students with insight into voting, advocacy and the impact of local policy. Speakers from Prince George’s County and national organizations emphasized the influence of student voices and encouraged them to take an active role in shaping their communities.

Jevon Hamilton personifies Bowie State's dedication to cultivating talent on and off the field. He made his leadership mark during his Bulldogs football career, and he plans to take his all-star mindset forward into pharmacy school.
