Bowie State, DPSCS spotlight unity, education at Black History Month program

Bowie State University and the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services hosted their annual Black History Month program Feb. 26 at the Jessup Correctional Institution as part of an academic partnership launched in fall 2022. Bowie State remains the only HBCU in Maryland to offer incarcerated individuals a four-year degree through its Prison Education Program.
