MLB Network Seeks Bowie State Students for TV Production Roles

Students Encouraged to Meet with Executives

(BOWIE, Md.) – Executives from MLB Network, the production arm of Major League Baseball, will visit the Bowie State campus Wednesday, March 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Fine and Performing Arts Center to speak to students about the company and conduct interviews with individuals interested in pursuing a career with the broadcasting organization. 

“We’re coming to Bowie State University to speak with students about working at MLB in a variety production jobs,” said Will Cope, vice president of production and content strategy for MLB Network. “There is a tremendous amount of editing and production associated with games being seen on the various platforms and we need competent individuals ready for the challenge.” 

MLB Network can be seen on Sling TV, Peacock, ESPN, FUBO, Direct TV, HULU, Apple TV and other platforms. The Live MLB Network stream is available on iPhone, iPad and supported Android phones and tablets via the MLB app and on PC/Mac through MLBNetwork.com/Watch. 

In addition to Cope, Dan Krieg, a supervising producer and Zachary Lecky, a segment producer, will be at Bowie State to speak with students. 

“I want to conduct one-on-one interviews with students and I’m prepared to stay on campus until 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. to speak to everyone who is serious about working for MLB Network,” said Cope.
