Bowie State Hosts Inaugural RMI Speaker Series October 31 


The inaugural Speaker Series presented by the Maguire Academy of Insurance & Risk Management features James Maguire, the visionary founder of Philadelphia Insurance Company, and his colleague Sean Sweeney. This is a great opportunity to learn from two industry leaders and gain valuable insights into the world of insurance and private equity.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Ensuring that our electoral outcomes reflect the will of the American people requires making sure that as many people as possible participate at the ballot box as registered voters. 


Early Voting Continues Through Oct. 31

In-person early voting centers in Maryland will be available through Wednesday, Oct. 31, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. at locations in every county. If you vote early, you cannot vote on election day or by mail-in ballot.

Election Day Is Tuesday, Nov. 5

Your voice matters! Nov. 5 is you last chance to cast your vote in the 2024 general elections to ensure your voice is heard. All election day polling places are open continuously from 7 am until 8 pm. Anyone in line at 8 pm will be allowed to vote.


  • Maryland residents can register to vote on election day. Go to the polling place assigned for your residence, and bring a document that proves where you live. You can find your polling place here.

  • Bowie State University's McKeldin Gym is a polling place for designated Prince George’s County residents, including students who registered to vote using their Bowie State University address.
